Patchy Hair Loss
Patchy hair loss is less common than other forms of hair loss, such as receding hairlines or overall hair thinning; however, it can occur in both men and women. Generally, patchy hair loss presents itself as small bald spots on the scalp.
There is not a known method to patchy hair loss. Sometimes a bald spot will occur on one area of the scalp, then over time hair will re-grow there, and then later the same spot may become bald again. Other times, new bald spots appear on different areas of the scalp and are seemingly unrelated. The good news is that patchy hair loss is often temporary and has been known to clear up over time.
The Cause of Your Patchy Hair Loss
First of all, you should determine that your hair loss is not caused by an infection. Specific fungal infections such as ringworm have been known to cause patchy hair loss, so see your physician to confirm you are free of illness. If your scalp skin is healthy, Alopecia Areata may be the cause of the splotchy hair loss; unfortunately, there is no cure for this issue.
You can, however, encourage new hair growth through use of the Kevis system. Like all kinds of hair loss, the issue could be worsened by the presence of DHT buildup on hair follicles. Our Kevis products work to remove DHT residue from hair follicles, liberating them to grow new, healthy hair. Our products also build up your existing hair to protect it from breakage and damage, thus ensuring it remains in optimal condition for as long as possible.
